Ginger Kress is a published hair and makeup artist, including 2015 editorial for HerScene magazine cover credits. She has styled hair and created makeup looks for photography and wedding events, along with the highly successful Rolland’s Beauty Bar hair and makeup team. She brings talent and professionalism to her work both in the salon and working with a creative projects on location.
Ginger started cosmetology school when she was 17 years old. After graduation she immediately entered an intense apprenticeship program for Marilyn Ilhoff in Tulsa, OK. Working under many amazing master colorists, she learned the technical and artistic aspects of hair color. As She became more advanced in her skill set, she soaked up all the things that made her the strong stylist she is today. After working in Aveda Concepts Salons, where she picked up a strong work ethic, she felt it was time to try her hand at opening her own boutique style color salon. Ginger sold her salon after successfully running it for 6 years with the dream of living on the beach.
She has been living her lifelong dream of living on the Emerald Coast and working in Seaside. She loves making new clients and visiting with the local clientele she has come to love. She specializes in balyage (hair painting), foiling, highlights, lowlights, grey coverage, both men and women’s cuts, and wedding/special occasion hair and make-up design.
Always staying current in trend and fashion, she takes advantage of classes in new techniques whenever possible. Some favorites have been Nick Arrojo in New York City at the IBS Beauty Show and advanced color and cutting training at IBS in Las Vegas. She also keeps a close eye on celebrity stylists, their blogs and published articles and educational materials.
